Matt Gittins is an Ohio native from a small town called Chardon. If you ask him, he will probably say he’s from Cleveland.

Growing up, Matt was surrounded by sports and music. He began playing soccer at the age of four, and began playing violin at the age of seven. He found theater as a sophomore in high school and has been performing ever since. He graduated from Otterbein University with a BFA in musical theater performance.

As a writer and composer, Matt has been writing since age 15 and started composing as a freshman in college. He has written for numerous singer/songwriters as a ghost writer, composed jingles and background music, and been involved with album projects as a guest talent, writer, and/or composer/hip-hop producer. He finished his first musical, YOU GO ON, as a senior in college.
